All natural Alessi Pasta Sauce "Alla Norma" tastes homemade because it's made like the Alessi's make it at home. Fresh garlic and onion are sauteed in Alessi Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Sicilian pear shaped tomatoes, picked in their most ripened and juicy state, are added to this "soffritto" along with a few basil leaves. Diced Sicilian Eggplants are added to the cooking sauce. The salt is then adjusted. Because the sauce is so perfectly balanced, every ingredient can be tasted.
